This Week’s Product Review:

Dose of Colors Liquid Lipstick

Need to Know:

30 shades

Amount: .16oz (compare to Kat Von D .22oz/$20).

Price: $18

Swatches from lightest to darkest:

Cork is described as a warm golden brown.

It’s more golden than brown but still a pretty nude. It goes on smooth but does take a little longer than most liquid lipsticks I have to dry completely matte.

Mood is described as a garnet plum.

It’s definitely a lot lighter than I expected but still flattering and soft on deeper complexions.

Berry Me 2 is described as a magenta plum.

This is a great magenta color for those looking for magenta that isn’t clownish looking and it’s deep enough to wear without a lipliner.

Kiss of Fire is described as a bright fiery red.

There are not a lot of bright reds that are true blue red and stay that way once applied. I love this red.

Chocolate Wasted is described as a dark brown.

My first thought is it is not as deep as I expected and it’s muddy looking. Not really a fan of this color on my complexion.

Savage is a limited addition shade with their collaboration with Desi Perkins. It is described as a rich black base burgundy with a velvet finish.

Beautiful shade overall and the finish was nice since it wasn’t too matte. I own a lot of burgundy lip colors but this one is a new fav.

Overall:

I’m a big fan of their rich colors and the texture. The main complaint is that the color separates in the tube after a while for the flat matte lip shades and it’s hard to mix it in the tube so it applies evenly after this happens. I’m not a fan of the applicator because you can’t get precise lines on your mouth with it but it’s not impossible to work with.
