Product Review: Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Lipsticks

I deliberately choose to do a clean, simple face so that the lipsticks could be showcased properly.

Most liked colors:

PMS and Griselda are definitely my favorites.

Griselda DOES move a little more than I would like and for some reason does seem to run more than the others so I would strongly suggest a lipliner with that color specifically. A corresponding lipliner would be ‘Bespoken For’ by MAC.

PMS is surprisingly a pretty brown with just a touch of red which makes it flattering and soft on brown skin. 

Most disliked colors:

Clapback was a little too cool for my liking. On brown skin, the richer the color the more flattering it tends to be.

Ma’Damn looked promising on my hand as a blue-red but it turned a little orange-red when I applied it. Not a BAD thing, just not my preference personally. It is still flattering on my complexion but if you are looking for a deep red or blue-red, this may not be the best choice.

Overall:

I judge a product based on what is advertised about it and this lipstick does line up with the description of it from the brand. It is a soft matte, moisturizing and full of pigment. It feels comfortable all day long and does wear fresh all day (eating not included).

I will say I wasn’t too impressed with the overall color selection of the line and hoped to buy more colors when I initially heard of the line coming out but the product is quality and hopefully more colors come out in the future.
